WELCOME TO HASLMERE

Surrey has many charming small towns and villages, but Haslemere is unique. Situated on the borders of Hampshire and West Sussex, this historic market town with its timbered and tile-hung houses and cottages, is one of the gems of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Town Twinning

Haslemere twinned with Bernay, Normandy (France) in 1985 and with Horb, on the edge of the Black Forest (Germany) in 1991. The Twinning Association arranges weekend exchange visits with both towns each year, Haslemere playing host one year and visiting the next. Visitors pay their own travel costs, but hospitality is provided by local hosts whose Twinning Association organises activities during the weekend. Links exist between local organisations and their counterparts and twinning is open to anyone interested in international friendship. Leaflets are available at Haslemere Hall, Museum and Library.
